Hello the regulator failed today and I'm stripping it down the problem being I cannot remove the electrical plug by the door lock in order to feed out the wiring harness! Please help

Managed to get the clip off does everything need to be riveted back together or can you use nut and bolts instead if so what size is used 

Rivets are easiest.

^^^ I got that one. Some (Silverline?) can be had for £25 but I wanted something I could trust as I know SFA about riveting.
