Main beam wirring. What colour/where

Featured Replies

Hello all. Thanks for taking the time to read. Been member on here for a good few years now but lost my login email!

Anyways my fabia is a 56 plate vrs and am fitting a lightbar to the front (main beam is crap and with winter around the corner)

I am planning on taking a feed from the main beam wirring in dash, running it through a switch then to a relay and to the lights, the switch is so i can isolate it when not needed as it will blind people otherwise.

Does anyone know what colour wire the main beam feed is or even where best place to look for it is. Ive tried looking online but to no info anywhere.

Thanks

Well i couldnt help it. Got my test light from work and ripped into the dash. For future referance its the white wire with green teacer coming out of the stalk on the steering collum ;)

Lot simpler/neater  way as from other posts, getting a wire from cab to under bonnet area is very difficult. Fit a relay ( under bonnet)which operates from the main beam supply under the bonnet and then switches on light bar, via a fused supply from one of the supplies on the battery. A lot of Auto relays come with a built in fuse in the relay body.
