I've lost the Brake Fluid Tank Cap, anyone know the part number?

Featured Replies

Just done a daft thing. Changed the front brake pads and a full service, during which I unscrewed the brake fluid tank cap and left it on top of the tank. After completing all the stuff, I took the car for a spin and when I got back realised I didn't screw the cap back on. Opened the bonnet and it had gone with no sign of it in the engine bay. Doh!

So anyway, does anyone have the part number for a new cap please so I can get a replacement?

Thanks.

(btw, my cars 2003 Skoda fabia vrs)

Just go to scrapyard and get one. In the meantime put some plastic over the top and secure with elastic bands. When you get another cap drain off the fluid in the tank and replace so you don't end with muck or moisture in the fluid.

Is it this one?

Saves driving about the countryside wasting half a day to get your pants pulled down for a tenner by a crafty p****.

I wouldn't worry about draining the tank, the cap is vented anyway otherwise the reservoir would airlock so there's already moisture in there.

That will do. Thanks for that.

Annoyingly, I already had a look on eBay and didn't see that one!
