Can anyone identify what this hose is, could do with renewing it

That's one of the breather hoses. It's common for them to fail. Check the ones under the inlet manifold too.

 

I bought silicone replacements off eBay and they've been fine.

was just wondering if this was causing any boost issues? i have what i think is the same hose split and im loosing boost at 3.5k to 4k rpm... i've added a picture just to be sure :)
