Featured Replies

hey guys, does anyone have the diagram on how to take the inner doors off please? also anyone got any links for decent door speakers and stereo unit please? and what size is the door speakers please? at a guess its 6.5 inch but wanted to double check.

basically i just want a decent set up music system.

many thanks

I have upgraded my car with an RNS315 head unit (direct swap with swing radio) factory speakers and an Edge 12" sub in the boot. I am happy with the sound for me and there is plenty of bass plus fading the speakers to the front by a couple notches gives more power to the front speakers allowing for better bass at the front but thats very minimal, but then again everyone is different.

here is a link to a workshop manual to remove the door cards, it shouldn't be that hard with a bit of time and confidence to pop clips. (http://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk2/body/body_work/trim_noise_insulation/door_trim_panels/removing_and_installing_trim_panel_on_drivers_door/)

Yes the speakers are 6.5 like most VW vehicles. Focal do some nice OEM replacement speakers for not too much, I was recommended them by someone on here who said they where better than stock and sounded good!! But imho to get the best out of door speakers you really want to get a nice 4 channel amp to power the speakers as headunits only offer really 45w per channel which isn't that great at all + some sound deadening in the doors to reduce vibrations.
