Please can someone help,

I have recently purchased an armrest from a Golf IV and have attempted to fit it into my Octavia but have come across a couple of problems:

Are the plastic trim pieces from the Golf that surround the bottom part of the armrest where it goes through the coin tray of different length to the ones for the Octavia?

Is the ally casting that bolts to the floor the same as the Golf only it slightly fouls the fag lighter.

You could use the online Russian ETKA here to cross-check part numbers. From that I can see straight away that the adapter part number is the same while the mounting part number is different.
