Service book

Featured Replies

Skoda still doing the service book or are they printing them off at all?

No service book in car,

so Ask, for the print out,  Service Items done, Health Report, Body Report, Road test report etc, then the Invoice even if on a Service Plan.

No point being Green and saving  the world by not using paper

and having no Full Main Dealer Service History you can look at without a Computer or Dealership Passwords.

Not impressed with the print offs either. Even my local indie stated the oil used, the main dealer leaves me to imagine what was used. One  of the many reasons I'm not "extremely satisfied"  with them.

You ask for an invoice.

Lists the parts / part numbers, unit prices.

It should show the Oil used and quantity / Unit Price.  You want that and the VAT charged, because if parts are not used the customer should not pay 20% VAT on them.

They work for you, so just ask for them to act as the Supplier / Contractor and not someone doing a favour.

I got a full itemised invoice for my service today without asking. This was from Johnson's Skoda in Birmingham.

I'll get the 'history' printed out when I come to sell it - I've got the official Skoda printout for the first service but for some reason they didn't include it with this one.

Just Found out no service book with my Kodiaq!! when I tried to find it for 1st service.

Asked about service schedule was told they don't give that out. Really, what's the secret about?

Is it about stopping you getting alternative quotations for work needed to be done.

Will ask for a full service schedule for the car so I know what needs doing when.

Lets see how far I get.
