Lights on dash warning beep

Featured Replies

I have a question regarding the beep warning in the dash cluster, my previous fabia which was a 2006 used to beep on and off to warn you about leaving your lights on when you take the keys out. Low fuel or low outside temperature was a 'gentle' beep sound as well. If it had low coolant it was a continual loud alarm sound.

My current 2005 fabia makes different noises. It will only beep continuously when you leave lights on and is quite an aggressive sounding noise. Also, low fuel, low temperature or a bulb out warning is all done by a very loud alarm sound, on my previous car only used to signal low coolant.

Im wanting to know if this was a change they made between 05 and 06 and if it can be adjusted with VCDS as I much prefer the warning system on my previous fabia.

I cannot work out what the beeps on this car are actually telling me without looking at the dash and its quite confusing as sometimes it will beep to tell you its 4 degrees outside and its the same sound as if i didn't have any coolant or oil pressure!

Maybe a stupid post but id like to know if theres a way of changing this. Thanks
