Apps, Apps and more Apps.

Featured Replies

Browsing the play store there's a ridiculous amount of Skoda apps.

Having just bought a 67 plate Octavia VRS with Amundsen I want to make the most of it. Has anyone got any use out of these Apps? Im Thinking ill need to use my phone as a hotspot, which doesn't really bother me too me too much.

Dave.

I use the Skoda OneApp quite a bit. Its pretty good in logging your journeys & giving you some nerdy stats about how far you have been & MPG. Downside is you have to connect via USB cable & it doesn't always work. Many is the time I have driven somewhere with phone plugged in only to find it hasn't recorded anything. Another minor annoyance is that when the app is updated you need to remember to re-enter your login details. If you don't it won't work & doesn't give any warning either.

I have tried most of the other apps. MySkoda slightly useful: it gives a link to the manual & links to your calendar.

I don't bother with SkodaConnect, mainly because it used up most of my data when I connected my phone. Might give it another try as I have a higher data allowance now but I don't think I am missing much.

The other Skoda apps either simply wouldn't work or just had no interest to me.

Have fun trying them!
