Hi im David from Laois in Ireland, I might be buying a mk 2 vrs octavia next week. I found a tidy petrol one with loads of history and a few upgrades. 

I coming from a subaru legacy b4 and I need something a bit more practical, while still having a bit of poke, for hauling kids around and the octavia fits the bill.

I've always had a soft spot for the octavia after learning to drive in the family mk1 all the way back in 2001

 

Anyway I have already found loads of information on this forum and I hope to be able to give some back at some stage.

Welcome David!  Nice to find a decent petrol model especially here in Ireland where diesel has taken a firm grip in recent years.  Hope the deal works out for you.
