Aerial stolen!

Featured Replies

So someone helped themselves to the aerial off my VRS, not sure why it was just a standard one.

Anyway, does anyone know firstly if aerials are a standard fit on vag group cars and while I’m here is there anything I can do to get better reception for AM frequencies as I listen to talk sport more than anything.

Sorry that you got yours stolen... thought we where past that!

I got one of a mazda! (short stubby one) Just pop to skoda and buy a new one off of them or off of ebay. shouldnt be more than £15!

Mk2 vrs?

does yours have a black line down the windscreen?

Have seen plenty on eBay for less than £10 just non for a 2011 Fabia but if any from a Skoda will fit then not an issue.

All skoda ones should fit I believe! look at where your old aerial was and see if its a screw in or screw on style. If I am right its a screw on type.

I got an arial from Ali express for around £3 posted but it took two weeks to arrive. Not original but an ok replacement and quite a bit cheaper the VAG prices. A little softish and rubbery but I have nothing to compare that with as mine had the older, longer whip arial which I replaced with a teeny-tiny Citroen one which lost reception on long journeys and tunnels, etc.

The whip was better overall but looks cr-ubbish and obstructs the garage door. The Chinese replacement has funny little holes in it, design, not fault and they don't go right through, just peculiar! If I had mine stolen, I think I'd have looked for a genuine one but as I was just toying...
