My car over heat light went on whilst driving saying see manual.  The car temp was right up then I stoped the temperature moved to the middle. I checked the water all seems fine. Just wondering what that would be 

were you caning it again?

 

is the fan kicking in? as a common fault is the sensor controlling the radiator fan. You could check for faults on VCDS?

 

water pump seems to be a common failure although hasnt happened to me yet.

No the fan doesn’t seem to be kicking in.  Really hope it doesn’t go on me I need to travel to Scotland tomorrow lol. Would that come under warranty do you know.  What is VCDS I don’t really have a clue on cars 

Water pump, take to dealer, get them to do the cambelt whilst they are at it. Tell the dealers you want at least 50% discount as its a known fault.
