Radio Display

Featured Replies

When I drove off this morning, temperature 1degree, and turned on the radio sound came on but display stayed blank. Turned radio off/on a couple of times but still no display. Stopped for paper after 10mins and when restarted car everything was back to normal - display was fine and has been ever since. Anyone else noticed this and anyone know the cause?

Do you like getting out of bed on mornings like this morning? :D

I had this a couple of times with my last Yeti but the temperature hasn't got that low yet for the current one. Some owners have had to remove and refit the radio fuse to get it back to normal.

Whatever do owners do in Norway or Finland! If it's down to cold weather then I guess the display is off until the car warms up every day. Not good, wonder if it applies to all LCD displays or just Skoda?

No problems with mine and I have seen -4c this year. (keeping fingers crossed)

My first yeti from 2010 did this occasionally. It also sometimes had items missing from the maxidot. Usually ok after removing key from ignition and trying again. A bit like a computer that doesn't always start up correctly.

My wife reminded me that out first Yeti lost it's radio display once, but that was in the middle of the summer on a boiling hot day, and it was cured by switching off the ignition and starting again. Basically I suppose it is just a computer being rebooted to cure a glitch.
