That is a sharp looking pickup - and a very practical size for many. Bill

As I drive past the Arnold Clark Volvo showroom in Inverness (daily) I am struck by the fact that they always seem to have at least a couple of Yeti's on their forecourt. They also seem to turn them over reasonably quickly. By contrast the Arnold Clark Skoda dealership a few hundred yards along has had no 2nd hand Yeti's for a very long time. Does this suggest that Yeti owners are jumping ship to other franchises? I wonder. Anyone else noticed anything like this? Bill

Nope - just ugly! Reminds me of some of the worst excesses of the American Auto Industry. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you can't see THAT front end whilst you're driving. I had considered the original S-Cross before we went Yeti (might still have had it had we done so). And I bet it drives well. Enjoy your new steed PP. Bill

The Hybrid battery on my RAV4 can be extended to 11 years warranty on a year by year basis with a straight forward service. Bill

Now I have had my RAV4 1 month I'm struck by how narrow the YETI was by comparison (and lower roofline - I can't reach the centre top of the front screen on the RAV - I'm 5'9"). Dimensions didn't seem an issue when I owned it - just on reflection it really does show its age in comparison to younger designs. More an observation than a criticism though. Bill

I remember years ago when a customer brought a Jetta under warranty into the garage saying that the door opened whilst he was driving. I raised a job card for the workshop controller and passed it through. We didn't have time for verbose descriptions so wrote (typed - we did have computers back then!) "o/s/f door opens of own accord". Three hours later I had a 'phone call from the w/shop controller telling me that the car had sat outside his office all that time and the door hadn't opened once! He was a bit of a wag! Bill

Toyota Corolla Liftback - introduced 1979 - ah well, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! Bill

No they don't. The wipers have frozen in an arc. Liberal flexing prior to use helps but they don't always co-operate. Bill

Ah, the Chrysler Sunbeam. Never worked for them or owned one but - anal fact coming up here...... The rear side window was the subject of great debate when the car was being designed. The rear lower corner is not radiused as in most cars but both horizontal & sloping lines continue to a meeting point. Stylistically it was felt an essential effect despite the extra costs involved in manufacturing. When looking at the line of the car it does hang together better like this than having a radius (in context with contemporary designs of the day). Bill

Quite agree - but I fear pigs may fly first! And serviceable filter in the Haldex. And servicing requirements which aren't ambiguous. And service items not being overlooked by dealers because they are time scheduled. And, and , and.... depressingly the list would go on & on & on & on.... Bill -
Fantastic option. Had that on both my Yeti's. My new RAV4 hasn't a Heated Screen even as a an option but has a very quick warm up from the Hybrid system. It is better than a regular vehicle but not as good as as a proper heated front screen. Having said that the battery drain would be undesirable on a hybrid however they link the heated rear screen to the door mirrors which is very convenient. Bill

Would fit in nicely in Iceland. Bill
