DAB to FM - No Automatic Switching

Featured Replies

I was traveling to Buxton from NE Derbyshire and listening to BBC Radio Derby today. The DAB started cutting out nearing Buxton and the radio went silent until a traffic report on FM kicked in from Radio Derby.

I have checked the radio settings and the box is ticked for the automatic switch to FM when DAB reception fails. No problem picking Radio Derby right across the area the area when FM is manually selected. Any ideas?

Mine does this depending where I am. Coming out of Swindon at the top of the hill on the A419 towards Cricklade is a common place for Digital to drop out for a few secs.  Luton to Welwyn Garden City, swaps to FM. Not really worried about it. It’s not an issue.

My DAB dropped out and did not reconnect with the station as such. It only connected with the traffic report several minutes later. The FM signal was strong -as I could still connect manually to it. Not important though and a one off. Thanks.
