I've searched and there doesn't seem to be any control for the 12v socket in the front of the car, ive looked on the golf forums too. Its always on. I have a inductive phone charger which is bright and can get hot and would love to code the socket for ignition, but i'm not sure if it can be done. All my other marks the socket was off with the key out.
