Boot retractable cover open when you close the boot

Hello all, I have a really weird and stupid problem...my retractable boot cover was all open and loose, woudn't retract any more, so I opened the endings, roll the cover completely, spin the end fitting that moves the inside spring for about 20 times and fit it back in. Test it, all ok, the cover was retracting. Happy days...  

 

BUT when I fit it back in the car, nightmare: I open the cover completely, LOCK IT in place (I hear the click when it locks), but when I close the boot, the boot door itself it's touching the edge if the cover AND OPEN IT !!!. That is a stupid nightmare !!!. So the cover lock in place very nice, but the boot door touch the edge of it when it close and it's opening it... any advise ?
