£100k 5 Car Garage

Featured Replies

I dunno if theres anything like this on here, but I think PistonHeads done something similar but with more rules, I'll keep this one nice and simple (or as simple as I can :D)

You have a house with a garage, it has 5 parking spaces in it, you can use one space for 2 motorcycles if you wish. You have an allowance of £100k to spend on which ever vehicles you choose. Spank the virtual money, telling us which car you'd pick, why you'd choose it and what you'd use it for, along with an advert for the said car. I need no encouragement to surf the classifieds so here's my garage:

Space 1 - BMW X5M

For the Mrs. She likes X5s and she might as well have the fast one. Budget cant stretch to a newer model but this vintage looks decent enough for her, especially since she'll fill it with dogs and never wash it.

£25,000

Space 2 - BMW 340i

My daily, plenty of poke from the 3.0 turbo, smooth ZF box for chilled driving & longer Euro trips but more sensible running costs over an M3. Plus, it blends in with all the 320d models so can be left on the street without worry.

£27,000

Space 3 - Vauxhall VX220 Turbo

As a track toy, always had a thing for these. If I have all these cars, I can justify the track motor to be pretty hardcore, proper back to basics, arse on the floor sports car, nice and light, as a bonus it'll make me lose weight to fit in it. The turbo has a bit of poke and potential to map it for a little more.

£15,000

Space 4 - VW Transporter BiTurbo DSG

I like a good van and it's useful for moving people with an extra row of seats added or chuck a mattress in the back to kip in. Fit a tow bar and tow the VX to tracks too.

£20,500

Space 5a - Piaggio BV350

Nice tool for hooning about town in summer, looks like a fairly small moped but actually does 90mph.

£3,200

Space 5b - Yamaha MT-10

I miss my big bike so I'd want to squeeze one in. I'm too fat for a sports bike, so this is upright, but plenty of poke when I wanna go fast.

£9,250

All but £50 spent and most bases covered. What would you spent it on?

Basically any diesel BMW that doesn’t have a water cooled alternator.

^^^^^^^^^^^^

  1. Nissan GTR (£82.5K)
  2. Dacia Duster (9.5K)
  3. Yamaha (R3) (£5.2k)
  4. £2.8 for accessories for above.

Need more money. Hopefully the EU-Japan trade agreement will make the GTR cheaper. Also have the garage in mainland Europe rather than UK.

1) 2013ish Jaguar XJ L Supersport 5.0 (30k)

2) Kia Stinger 3.3 GT-S (40k)

3) 2014ish BMW M135i (20k)

4) My Smart Forfour Brabus (4k)

5) Ford S-Max 2.5T Titanium (6k)

That's what my garage would look like at the minute!

1. Daily driver - New Skoda Octavia Scout DSG - £30k. Perfect 4WD vehicle for life in The Shires with their poorly maintained roads that are untreated in winter and often covered with mud from tractors throughout the year.

2. Weekend Special - 2010 Porsche Cayman 3.4S PDK - £30k. I've always wanted to own a Porsche (no real reason, just always liked them) and this is one of the best affordable Porsches (IMHO).

3. Project Car - VW Golf Mk1 with a 2-litre 16v engine conversion, uprated brakes and suspension, 15" BBS RS alloys and a bespoke luxury interior - £20k.

4. Wife's Car - 2015 Skoda Yeti 2-litre 170bhp 4x4 DSG - £15k. Mrs T likes the Nissan Juke but this is my list!

5. Bicycle - Custom Parlee carbon fibre special - £5k.

1. Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS 2011 - My kind of all rounder supercar luxury cruiser - Always lusted after one of these - £37k

2. BMW X5 40d xDrive M Sport ~ 2013- My favourite well specced luxuryish family car / daily driver - £25k

3. Ford Fiesta ST-3 ~ 2014 - My hot hatch / daily driver - £10.5k

4. Vauxhall VXR8 ~2007-2009 - My Sunday V8 fun car ;-) - £16k

5. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ360 2008 - Another Sunday fun Car - £11.5k

One Range Rover.............and the rest of the money to keep it on the road fully serviced.

1, Escort s1 turbo  £26.5k - My auntie used to have one of these when I was a kid. It was awesome and brings back so many happy memories. A nice sunny day out (classic investment)

2, Fiesta mk2 xr2 £14k - I could never afford the insurance on the xr2 so had the lowly 1.4 sport. Awesome little car.  (classic investment)

3, Rav4 £ 16.8k - for SWMBO, the perfect family car for us & ideal for towing our caravan & horses

4, Peugeot 308 GTI - £30k - My daily, still enough room for the wife/kids/dog & not the obvious hot hatch choice

5, Toyota GT86 £12.5k - Something fun for me & my wife when the kids aren't around

Nicely under budget

was at my folks over Christmas, Dad got out the last 3 of my old die-cast toys which were still there for my boy to play with, so maybe they can start the "classic" section of my Garage

BMW 840 for 14 grand  (same colour as the toy)

Lotus Elan S2 for 10k (though I'd want a blue one)

911 (964) Carrera 4 Cabriolet for 38k

and with the 38k change ?

I'll have a nearly new Superb 280 Sportline and my wife is more than happy with her 2016 Fabia 110 Hatch. am sure we can source them within budget
