DAB radio and Presets

Featured Replies

HI everyone, new member here with a question. Do any of you have the Amundsen+ DAB radio/sat nav. If so is there a secret to keeping your presets set. I know how to allocate a DAB station to a preset, hold the preset until it beeps. Then it shows that the preset has been allocated to the DAB station. My problem is all of this gets lost when I turn off the ignition. The next time I use the car the presets are all set at random again. None of the presets that I have set have been remembered. Any advice gratefully received.

I have the Amundsen+ not had the trouble you described but there is a option for the fwd/back scroll buttons to list all available stations or just your presets. Is this what you mean?

Hi Rick, thanks for answering my query.

I know I can scroll through the list or through the presets. This works fine.

My problem is the radio does not remember my presets after it is turned off. If I put DAB Radio 2 into preset 2 it goes in fine. Pressing 2 brings up DAB radio 2. After I have turned off the ignition and left the car the radio forgets that preset 2 is DAB radio 2. When I come back to the car I have to go to the DAB list to find DAB radio 2 as Preset 2 no longer contains DAB radio 2.

does it remember fm stations?

Good point, not tried that. I will try FM stations and let you know.

Do you have the user's manual for the radio? If not I can send you a pdf copy.

Thanks Rick, I have the manual, both in printed and pdf form.

FM stations appear to be OK, and now that I have saved an FM station it also appears that the DAB stations are being remembered as well. I'll let  you know how things pan out.

As far as I can tell you have to store the FM and DAB stations since if the DAB doesn't receive it defaults to the FM frequency.

I had the same problem trying to get it to remember BBC Wales.
