so ive had my clutch master/ slave/ clutch kit and flywheel changed due to the pedal getting stuck to the floor, seems to be working ok now except i have some free play in the top of the pedal, was going to make a vid but its exactly the same as this chaps mk5 gti. wondering if this is standard vrs behaviour as the garage is claiming?  dont remember it doing it before or on my previous vrs, but i wasn’t paying as much attention since i had no clutch problems.

 

any ideas lads?

the problem here was a garage had ****ed the rubber top hat o ring that went into the master cylinder, had to take the whole system apart to find a chunk missing out of the seal, new one installed and was all good, had a horrible clutch for 3 years thanks to them , that was the last time i let anyone else work on my car and it was in 2017 when i had a new clutch and master cylinder put in in the dead of winter.

 

lesson to everyone buy a load of tools and dont look back
