New aerial wanted and needed HELP!

Featured Replies

I've Pitbull with several weeks of terrible radio reception and !wet week the reception stoped completely. I've double checked the HU connections and that's ok. So after using a little hand help radio on the drivers seat I've tried out and old radio transmitter I've have and that confirmed the aerial is knackered. So I've spoken to my local Skoda dealers and they can do me a deal for £ 42 but have none in stock and reckon it'll take another 2 to 3 weeks to come in.

So does anyone know a cheap aerial alternative from let's say off eBay? That'll fit and work? Or does anyone have one they're willing to part with? Before impact with £42.

Cheers

Check the threads in the for/sale & breaking parts of the forums.

I got mine from a user here, it took a few minutes to fit. You just pop the headlining off and undo the bolt

Cheers mate. I'd already looked, but thought I'd ask if  any one knew of a cheaper but new alternative to using a used part.

I'll ping off some messages right now.

UPDATE.

Got in touch with puddy again and just done a deal.  Fingers crossed. Local traffic news this week will be booking out again.

Well fitted a newer aerial bought from puddy from the site, no better. Double checked the head unit end and found that the inner wire on the iso plug was broken. Quick pop down to halfrauds ( who came up trump's for a change) and picked up a din to iso connection. Striped the din end off and separated the cores . Cut off the old iso plug, strip the cores and then join all together and hey presto I've got radio again.
