Anyone help me with this fault code on my Octavia scout TDI 2013 (DSG) ?  It won't clear and cannot find anything about whats causing it?

 

 

It appears to be an issue with a module having the incorrect coding (stating obvious based on info in pic!). Looks like a generic scan result based on a generic diagnostic tool rather than something VAG specific.

 

A scan with VCDS would be ideal and would indicate which module has the fault.

 

Has it had any VCDS coding done recently to change parameters, enable new functions etc.? 

 

Do you get any warning or error on the vehicle's displays?

Not sure just been into dealer for a full service including DSG and axle oil change, there was a fault with the rev sensors which they replaced the rev sensor harness.  It's kinda new to me new the car but it was a company car I bought.  Don't have the VCS software only our Bosch, which covers all cars, but I do get your point of the VCS being more specific.

 

 

Does the Bosch tool allow you to clear the fault? Worth clearing and seeing if it returns. Could be a historic fault code which hasn't been cleared.
