Oil leak

Featured Replies

Hi,

I had my Octy vRS serviced last month. A few weeks later I noticed a splodge of oil or two on the driveway and took the car back to the dealer. The checked it, replaced the oil filter, cleaned any excess and I brought it home. Since then there have been a few more spots of oil under the car (on the plastic sheeting I'd left underneath) and it has been booked back into the garage this week.

I've always felt this dealer has gven me good service and they don't have a reputation for 'wiping you eye' so to speak. The service manager said that if the issue wasn't related to the oil filter they'd need to remove the sump to check it and either refit or replace it. Apparently the sump is held on by some sort of adhesive? Can anyone confirm whether this is indeed the case? If anyone has had a similar problem can you let me know what the issue was in your case?
