Columbus GPS signal

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

For the last couple of weeks, the GPS signal in our Yeti has been a bit funny.  Several times I have got in the car, and the position is showing as being off by a few hundred yards to tens of miles.  Checking the number of satellites tracked shows it to be 0/10 or 0/11.  After about 20 minutes or so, the number of satellites tracked rises to 6, 7 or higher.  It's almost like the columbus unit is forgetting where it is, or resetting overnight.

Anyone got any ideas?

Faulty antenna!

Agreed.
Known problem, Andy. Solution is either to replace the roof mounted antenna or buy a cheaper replacement one that you can fit under the dashtop cubbybox.
