Beware....................

the KESSY equipped Yeti.

Following a right palaver this morning it transpires it is entirely possible to lock your keys inside a KESSY equipped car:wall::@

I've shut the keys in the boot before (having opened it with the middle remote button) and the car has beeped at me and popped open the boot lid, to let me know the car keys had been left in the boot. On this occasion one set of keys were still in the car (out of sight) and it allowed another set to lock it.

I have a bit of history with locking keys in Yeti's (https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/247488-someone-ran-into-my-car-and-then-i-had-to-break-into-it/), although never previously with a KESSY equipped one - lesson learnt!!

Well if I had taken the kessy option I would have a real problem as the boot only opens to the safety catch with the central button and then stops there. The central button then does nothing more. Only by use of the unlock button can I get it to open , so if the keys were in the boot I could not get to them.

Mine does this if I attempt to open the boot immediately after pressing the central button.

If I wait a few seconds after pressing the central button, the boot opens normally.

TBH, I CBA to RTFM to find out if this is normal!

If it catches on the second safety catch you cannot open the boot without first unlocking the rest of the car.

I suspect it is due to rear hatch adjustment as mine often bounces back to the safety catch instead of closing properly and needs a firm slam to close it.

Had the same issue occasionally on previous 2 yetis, but they opened ok on the central button more than half the time. Current car never opens properly. One for the dealer to adjust but I am not taking it in specially for this.
