Octavia Vrs 2011 on it's way

Just dropping by to say hello, I'm sure I'll be a regular visitor.

As it says on the tin we're changing to a 2011 Octavia VRS (diesel - cue digging out my Prodigy album) hatch, picking up sometime next week.

My car history is rather mixed... Started with a wee 106 after passing my test, which was upgraded to a BMW compact, then onto a Smart Roadster-Coupe (met my wife thanks to our local smart owners club). We added a diesel Golf when we had our first child which was changed for a Golf 1.4s then a BMW 316 and now a Zafira which is going....

So today is the day, car is on it's way.

My wife is taking delivery whilst I'm at work..... Don't think that's a problem though since it's her brother we're getting it from.....

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

Hi, I've got a 2015 octavia scout mk3, manual 2.0 diesel, with 135,000 miles. It's service is due. It's looking expensive! In the last service there were some advisories. These were: Front main oil seal starting to leak Rear prop shaft starting to split Front arm rear bush delimitating Both front shocks leaking Haldex service due Brake fluid due I've asked my local VAG independent garage to do the service. Hello I have a Amunsen MIB2 with MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0359T SW0359 HW28 PART NUMBER 5Q0 035 874B I have been looking very where to find an update as i believe there is SW 0363 H31 that will work on my system. I have also read that SW 0456 HW41 also works but i am not 100%. is there anyone that has either of these software or hardware they are will to share or has anymore information that could help me please would be much appreciated. I thought I would post about this issue where my car was holding onto third gear, initially on a random basis. I could move the lever to manual and change up as normal. There were no codes and when my mechanic tried reading live data, the car was changing normally. I tried posting on Facebook but all doom and gloom, mechatronics faulty, clutch gone, etc. My car is now 18 years old any of those repairs effectively mean scrapping the car. My recent (non-Skoda) cars have given dashboard warnings when the battery in the key fob runs down. This gives the driver the opportunity to change the battery and to keep the key functional. The battery in my Superb's key fob recently ran down, and it went from fully operational (working the button "plip" as well as the keyless entry) to completely flat during the course of a day at work.
