Citigo tyres

Featured Replies

I’m new to this forum and wondered if anyone has experienced this.

my citigo is great but the tyre size is 165 70 14

I’m finding it hard to get new tyres as they are few and far between and expensive compared to an alternative size 175 65 14which is found on the green tech with alloys.

if I change all four tyres the same time will they fit the steel rims

has anyone done this as the tyres are much cheaper and of better quality

Multiply the stated width by the stated aspect ratio, and divide by 100. You want the answers to be within 3 of each other to maintain speedometer calibration.

175 wide on the rims you have are OK.

And for the correct profile you can put your calculator away.

The Speedo is not calibrated to be accurate, just to show you are going faster than you are usually. Over read your speed.

Tyre size change might be more accurate, just be sure it does not show on the speedo you as going slower than you are going which could mean you are caught speeding.

Which is not going to happen with the tyres you are thinking on fitting.
