:confused: Went to fit my Pioneer TSG1316s in the the rear of my vRS estate only to discover they must have changed the speakers because mine are oval, 15cm X 9CM with a depth of about 53mm. They say Skoda Auto 25 W 4 ohms and i wrote down the numbers if anyones interested.

Had to be content with ripping felt out which did improve the sound.

So anyone want some new Pioneers let me know?

Yeah, the estates have oval speakers...pretty sure Tavia4x4 mentioned this in one of his posts about removing the felt...

I've already got a set of those Pioneers in the back, but I'd recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade...

What have people fitted in the estate?

MCS do three sets of Kenwoods that will fit ranging from 25 to 60 quid and some Pioneers for 36 quid.

The middle kenwoods look best value to me.

The speakers are going going gone, so now to reinvest in the right ones.

Thanks for the info Dr zoidberg could you give those middle ones a number as MCS don't seem to put sizes and I'm nervous of screwing up again.

The ones you require are KEN-KFC4625C for 31 quid.

The first two numbers are the speaker size in inches so 46... means 4*6" etc

Half the power of the pioneers and twice the cost does it matter the fronts are 160W?

Always take the quoted power figures with a big pinch of salt.

The kenwoods will sound a lot better than the pioneers which you did have , and you wouldn't be putting that sort of power through them anyway.

What stereo are you using?

You've sold me on the Kenwood's but are those 4625's flush mount I notice the 466E's below look more so. Bit gutted I have to pay another

Its hard to tell on those pics and I don't have my Kenwood catalogue to hand to check but they look pretty flat on the other pics I could see.

Where are you located? For just one pair of speakers it may be easier to find a local dealer where you can see them before you buy.
