Needing a new door latch for a 2008 Fabia 1.4tdi - where’s best to find one at best value please? Many thanks

Drawn a blank so far - can anyone advise if I could fit a latch from a 2003 Fabia on a 2008 car then please?

With or W/O remote central locking?

Not sure what part you mean by latch... The external handle or the actual latching mechanism fitted to keep the door shut etc or the bit fitted to the door frame, to catch it on to! It is my guess though that they may differ to some degree.

Fair point it’s actual internal mechanism not door lock or door frame part, if that makes sense

Just heard back that 2003 Fabia is a key opener,not remote which 2008 one is. Doubtful that’ll work I would think

Has the pin snapped? Many VW applications had a pin which rotates to unlock the doors either by remote or central locking etc and the pins snap off, making them useless. You can get a replacement/repair set to fix this issue cheaply. (This is the bit that goes inside the locks barrel so you turn the key/press the remote and it turns this pin).

No I don’t think so. Would parts from a Polo work, or are they not compatible?
