Hi

I've already fitted a stainless steel cat back exhaust.

The car will be 7 year-old in February and has 76k miles and wonder when to fit a sports cat.

Would appreciate peeps opinion on the life expectancy of the original cat.

It's already been remapped at 121hp prior to cat back, and engine is still not displaying chain problems.

Now would seem like a good time so that you get value for money, enjoy the performance increase if there is any,

no point fitting it before getting rid of the car or after it does display chain problems.

Precisely my thoughts just needed arbitrary opinions.

Thanks.

I do enjoy the current performance and only expect 3-5 bhp more.

Must get it a rolling road to see what improvement on the 121 with full sports exhaust set has, hopefully 130 :-)

Update have a had Sports cat front pipe fitted by Tony Banks, full stainless steel exhaust, sports cat and resonator boxes.

Also swapped the air filter for a Pipercross one

Prior to exhaust fitting and air filter car had 120hp up from 86 wonder what has now? probably need to get it on a rolling road, also using Tesco 99 fuel.

Next is Monroe reflex dampers

That's a great result was that from just getting a sports cat, or, was the map adjusted to suit the sports cat?
