How is everyone wiring up there dash cam?

Got both but the fuse holder sticks out so cant put the fuse cover back on

Sorry for the hijack. Same problem. I've got the kit from next base as it was on offer at halfords but don't know which fuse to wire it to. I don't want it to kill the battery.

 

Use a multi-meter to find an ignition switched live...?

Run it from the 12v accessory socket?

The socket is always live, or put in a switched splitter so you can manually turn it off and on plus still use another assessors. 

I've wired in a switched multi adapter mounted on the underside of the dash, so ai can use dash cam, phone charger, temp/volt meter and tyre pressure sensor and ticking all the wiring behind the trim.
