Jaguar ‘s E-Pace SUV

Featured Replies

Wifey got handed a 2017 Jaguar XE 25d, which is her work's idea of a pool car...!!
Looks like a Ford exec model, really.

Looks like a barely badge engineered mazda cx5..

It looks like a Mazda.

And Jaguar will make dealerships in the US ‘charging stations’ for their e models.

That’ll make the dealer much more popular I reckon.

90 kW-H battery, good pitch to go up against the Teslas !

I can’t imagine an ‘affordable’ Jag in my lifetime though.

It is maddening that the retail price is so high in the UK and when you look over at what they sell them at in the US and convert it back it works out better.

Most Jaags have monthly rental charges of £1k a month plus for something like a reasonably annual mileage.

Fortunately quite an amount of them end up on the second hard market a couple of years on and have fallen to half the full retail values and are usually very well looked after, do not see them being ragged like many of the German performance cars.

Expensive dealer servicing so one has to get in touch with the Jaaag unofficial servicing community.  Pick up one in the 6 to 8 year range, before they hit the legendary 10 year arm and leg to keep going range and one can get a very special car for smallish money ie a crazy powerful petrol engined monster but one needs an access to cheap fuel as £100 per tank of fuel and barely doing 300 miles on it is a cost.

Mate of mine (not a petrol head) had a Jag experience day recently. That we his exact comment on the E pace. Looks just like a Mazda. He also said the XF looks really dated on the interior now.

I've got a Mazda (MX-5) it's 10 years old so it hasn't got the latest style (big gaping) grill that most seem to have now. Delivery guy came down the drive and was all over it, I was giving it a good detailing one fine day. He says I didn't know Mercedes did these, they look great, he wasn't taking the mick either.:dull:

They have been pitching the Jaguar against the Tesla Model X in their PR but the two cars aren't competing equally. For a start the i-pace is a 5 seater, whereas the Tesla is 7.

The Tesla also seems to have access to a much quicker charging system, which Jaguar admit the i-pace can do but the infrastructure isn't in place.

I'd still have a Tesla..and I'm a Jaguar owner haha!
