Sony handycam help

Featured Replies

Anyone used one of these things before? :grumpy:

Damn thing only came with a "picture package" and despite me hooking it up to USB, it won't take whats on the camera and create an mpg/wmv on the screen. No actual SONY software is in the box. and the destructions have a note saying "refer to computer guide" - But there is no computer guide.

Anyone got one of these? How do you access the digital video stored on them?

I may be able to help J getting you the manual if that's of any use?

OK - I've now got as far as capturing the data using some picture image software, but the damn thing insists on me picking some dodgy background music and sticking in dodgy effects... :grumpy:

FFS! - I JUST WANT TO HAVE WHAT'S ON THERE AS A MPEG FILE! What's so tricky about that and why doesn't the instructions have anything about this? :( [sigh!]

Use windows media player to download it...it's pretty basic but it does work

How? Gone through media player and can't see how I can rip from the camcorder to it. The camcorder is setup and I can view the clip in virgin form using the USB streaming tool, but cannot see how to rip it from there or on media player.

Giving you wrong directions now :o

click start.....programs.......accessories.......windows movie maker ...works a treat

Aha!

Now the capture facility on that works fine. :D Just means I have to manually start the playback and stop it, but never mind.

Thanks. I'm a happy bunny now. :)

You can download it ...efit it (if you want to) and save it and then open it in windows media player
