Independent in Glasgow or Inverness?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of decent independent garages that could undertake a major repair on my Yeti's sunroof?

Very reluctant to go back to a main dealer given the current EA189 fiasco, and would prefer a reputable independent garage to do the work.

I now live on the 'sunny' west coast of Scotland, so Inverness is 2.5 hours and Glasgow 3 hours each way - both involve a short ferry crossing. Consequently, I cannot just nip into a workshop and our local garage (generally very good) don't want to do the work as, I think, it is too specialised for them to undertake. I'd imagine getting the parts here would costs a small fortune anyway!

Open to recommendations (or ones to avoid) in Inverness (preferably) or Glasgow based upon personal experiences. If the Skoda dealers really are that good, then I consider it, but somehow I suspect that an independent would be better...

Either way they would need to have courtesy cars available due to the driving times involved in getting to / from them and our rural transport network being 'thin'.

Thanks.
