Hi all,

When I turn on ignition there is a loud beep - on the dashboard display, it shows the seats and an icon flashes up next to them but no idea what it is.

Can anyone help?

If its the Letter A with a circle round it and a diagonal line through it, then its alerting you the start stop facility is not available, could be for many reasons, nothing to worry about unless it keeps doing it constantly. Mine does this on especially cold mornings.

 

 

It’s not the ice alert is it ?,you get it when the temperature drops to 3 ‘C and below.

Mines 4°c or below. I don’t think it should beep, just flash would be fine. It’s annoying while ya driving and then it suddenly beeps...

Nope, personally I would rather it warn me there is the potential of ice on the road than find out the hard way (which is worse when you are on winter tyres as you do not normally lose grip)

Sorry, didn't mean to come across in that way.

It looks like a small A icon which I think I have established as the start icon.

 

Yes thats the stop/start, which will not work when cold, high battery load is being used, or other criteria isn’t met.

Start/stop will work when cold. If battery is charged enough. 

 

The "A" doesn't give any warning tone though.

There are multiple conditions that decide if start stop works, battery is one of those.

 

But on mine IF from initial start Start Stop ISN'T available then on occasion I have had a warning tone and indicator.
