I finally received my new Octavia 2.0 TDI DSG with 16-inch wheels, leather and official Skoda tuning upgrade to 134Kw yesterday. I cannot be happier, except for a problem with installing a non-factory radio problem - But that is for a different thread. However, I can report that it is possible to modify the STREAM radio to accept an Aux In (That

Sorry - can't help with the manual, but can you tell us more about the tuning upgrade. By my calculation, 134kW is 179.6bhp.

I've never heard of Skoda offering tuning upgrades in the UK - is it something that is fairly standard in the Czech Republic? And how does it drive? Anyone else heard of this sort of thing before?

Welcome to Briskoda. There aren't electronic versions of any of the Owner's Manuals for current models - at least in English - that I am aware of.

The tuning upgrade was officially done by a third party company (www.cimbu.cz) but was offered and arranged through my Skoda dealer. It does not void any of the Skoda warranties and is covered by its own warranty. My car is a 2.0 TDI DSG Octavia Estate and drives great. The power is amazing and the car is so tight that when I drove it up through some winding step hills yesterday I actually had to take my foot off the gas even though the car was holding the road like a glove, not because the car could not take it but because I got nervous. I have been driving for 25 years and have owned 10+ cars so I would not consider myself a novice. However, I am sure I will get used to it soon ;-).

On top of everything I bought the car as a company car and therefore (in the Czech Republic) my company can claim back the 19 % VAT and yes this even includes the tuning cost, and the tuning cost was even included on the official invoice and therefore included in the leasing agreement. Nothing like paying it off over the next 4 years.

FYI, the price here was @ 360,00 GBP w/o VAT… well worth it to take it from 103Kw to 134Kw.

My company also bought a manual 2.0 FSI 110kw Octavia Estate for a co-worker a few months ago and it cannot come close to the power of this machine.

So Far I’m Lovin it.

wouldnt worry about only a couple of weeks wait for the manual - just hope it turns up ok for you.

I am an expat near Plzen and had to scream for my english radio manual from Ford...

but when we had our skodas new - they came with uk manuals no problems...

next new car - probably back to škodas again.. can't beat their parts/service network here!
