Rear tyres wearing on inner edge

Featured Replies

Hi, My rear tyres are wearing on the inner edge. The passengers side is worse than the drivers side.

Tyre size is: 225/45/17

What can this be down to? Do I need a 4 wheel alignment?

I had my front wheels aligned by national tyres over a month ago. I didn't notice they were wearing on the inside edge then.... maybe because they werent that bad that's why I didn't notice.....

You need to find somewhere who can perform a proper full 4 wheel alignment check and can adjust the castor and camber angles not just the toe in/out

Thats the exact problem I had when I got my Oct 2 Scout .... the tyres had worn on the inner edges, and Where they were worn it wasn't even.....some block worn more than others.  The tyres were some sort of Falkens.

I put 4 new Conti Winter Contacts on and then had a full 4 wheel alignment done...... the pre alignment graph was pretty much red on everything :D

A year or so later when I replaced the Contis the wear was even on the rears :)

It's excessive camber on the rears.  They need to set it at around -0.75 and with minimal toe-in.

Just doing the front wheels is a waste of money.
