Vrs fl tsi clutch feel

Featured Replies

Had someone come tonight to view my car, they are very keen but mentioned that the clutch had a bit of a gritty feel to it so wants to look at another one before committing. It’s not something I’ve noticed, but when he left I idled the car and when releasing the clutch very slowly (engine running only), i guess I felt a slight spring / gritty feeling whilst slowly releasing the pedal. When the pedal is released quicker at normal speed I.e changing gear, I can’t notice it and it’s doesn’t do it with engine off. Curious if this is something anyone with the 2010 petrol tsi has noticed - although I hadn’t until tonight!

I have the same car of the same year and not something I have ever noticed to be honest. Are you sure the guy is not just trying to pick holes?

Possibly yes, I hadn’t noticed it until I released the pedal very slowly whilst the car was idling

I will try this with mine tomorrow and let you know if you like just in case it could be a normal thing when not under load
