VRS car care question

Featured Replies

HI everybody

Can you tell me what the best kit is to get to look after my new VRS.

On all my previous cars I`ve been using AUTOGLEAM products,

I`ve been very happy with the results that I`ve got.

Here`s the proplem SKODA reccommends AUTOGLEAM but f:thumbup:

friends of mine have said try the MEGUIRS products instead is there a massive difference between them are the results the same.

HELP as this is a driving me nuts if it helps the car is in magic black.

cheers

c ritch:rofl:

I used to use Autogleam but now use Swissol.

Cost a lot, but the results are astounding. I also wax mine every 2-3 months again wih Swissol wax.

Hope this helps

I use AutoGlym products throughout. Cant really see the point in paying more as the car gets dirty just as quickly regardless of what you use.

Having said that I do use their extra-gloss proctection regularly and fine it retains that "just polished" feel for a good week after its done.

I agree somewhat with what you are saying, but after doing 1k a week you get some serious crap on the car. At one stage i had salt crystals growing over the wingmirrors and front of the car, couldnt even see the back.

After a power wash and then shampoo with the swissol car bath and then a shamy.....bang........ it looks like its come from the showroom, and this is after 6 weeks of no polishing.

and although it costs a bit more initially, you use so little shampoo and wax that it doesnt work out that expensive in the long run.
