As above in simple terms i want to know what is the correct oil for both the engine and for the gearbox..

 

from my searching i can see that you can’t go wrong with the below for engine oil.

 

Qauntum Platinum 5w-40 505.01

 

(even though my handbook states to use only 506.00 oil??)

 

and for gear oil im really stuck as to what to get I hear G52 and G60 a lot but can’t find it to buy it, the car has 71k on the clock 

and I want to put something in that will heed smooth gear changes. 

 

So so in a nut shell

 

what engine oil 

 

what gearbox oil and where to buy.

There is absolutely no need to change the gearbox oil, especially at such a low mileage, just check the level and top it up if necessary.

 

That Quantum engine oil is perfect, use that.

Already got the gearbox oil so may as well while it’s on the ramp but thanks. 

 

Also been to TPS today to get oil he said my car need 5-40 and the invoice states 5-40 but the the bottle of oil he gave me is platinum plus 5-30? Does this matter

No it doesn't matter as long as it meets spec.
