Hi all, I've no CD player in my SE Tech Karoq. Can I transfer my CD's onto a memory stick and play them back through a USB socket? I'm a complete technophobe hence the call for help...Jimmer69

I used Apple iTunes to rip all of my CD's. It can recognise most CD's and name the album and tracks accordingly. Files will be stored on your PC or Mac, and can be copied/pasted to a USB stick or SD card. There are plenty of guides on Youtube. You do not need an Apple phone to use iTunes.

If you have access to a spotty teenager, they should be able to help.

thanks orville & panther

When we test drove the Karoq a few weeks ago the lack of a CD was a bit of a show stopper for my wife (fully paid up member of the Luddite society) - However I think you get one in the glove box with the Columbus satnav

The scary thing to think about is how many teenagers will have never bought or used CDs for their own music!

You do, it's a DVD player as well.

Clash of technologies - when my son borrows my old Octavia he uses a cassette(how quaint) adapter to play music from his phone. He doesn't own any CD's

He used to call my 33rpm LP's "Big CD's"  - trouble is they are becoming trendy again!

I've got the canton and there is a single slot cd/DVD in the Columbus unit in the glove box. Incidentally I had the canton in my Octavia but the one in the Karoq sounds much better.

The combination I had wondered about was the SE Technology + optional Canton

The Edition model + Canton is looking way too expensive for what I'm prepared to layout . Skoda isn't quite the bargain it once was!

I have an old iPhone full of music that can be plugged in to the USB socket.

Content managed on PC iTunes.

A smaller selection on an SD card.

(also have a Jukebox full of toons in the Skodiak)
