is it possible to alter the assistance given to the steering at motorway speeds i find it a bit too sensitve at times  its ok in town or at lower speeds but would appreciate a bit more stability at 70+

That sounds strange,  one of the things I like most about this car is the steering feel, never feels over assisted and at ,otorway speeds hard to tell it's assisted at all, and I spend most of my (driving) time on the motorway.

If I recall correctly, there is a parameter in VCDS to change the steering assist feedback/strength, although I don't think it can be progressive ... if you change it, it will be that way on all speeds.

k thanks will check my passat was variable so i assumed this might be the same
