AndroidAuto + iOS bluetooth on Bolero

Featured Replies

Hello does anyone know if there is possibility to connect android phone via android auto (only for google maps) and ios phone via bluetooth (music / phone calls)?

I am able to do whatever I want on this Android phone (root etc) but I don't want to jailbreak my iphone.

I have Bolero system in Octavia RS 2018.

I have the Bolero in my Fabia. You can do Android Auto and Apple CarPlay via USB (part of Smart Connect). You can also do music and phone calls via Bluetooth. I know Apple CarPlay isn't possible via Bluetooth, not sure about Android Auto (particularly if rooting is an option) via Bluetooth but I doubt it as I suspect there would need to be support within the Bolero headset as well as the phone and I very much doubt there is.

I've tried pairing an iPhone while using Android Auto, in order to play music off the iPhone (yay for no headphone jacks!), and it doesn't work. Android Auto uses the Bluetooth connection for calls. It might be worth a try though connecting the Android phone with the Bluetooth switched off? I know it's possible to connect Android Auto without it, but that was in a rental Corsa so the Skoda system might be different.
