Hi there, i'm new to your forum

Hi there, i'm new to your forum so hello from me in sunny Telford Shropshire, i have a caddy 1.9d which i have been working on for a couple of yours on and off. I have just dragged it out to make a start again and i was hoping you might be able to answer a couple of questions if you would be kind enough?

My engine has a misfire so thinking head off or worst case rings seen as everything else has been done, so do i do the work or fit the 1.3mpi i have into it????? also i'm not sure if i have an issue with coming out of 1st gear or if it could just a a little adjustment on the selector rod. Hence the following two questions

1, would the 1.3 mpi gear box go straight on the 1.9d engine?

2, if i choose to put my 1.3mpi engine and box in to my caddy is there anything i need to be aware of, i was thing fuel tank could be an issue regarding getting the fuel to the engine?
