Taking a Karoq over to France

Featured Replies

Will be taking my Karoq 1.5 DSG Edition with light assist to France later in the year. From the downloaded manual I can see that it is possible to change the “units” so that the speed is shown in Kilometres per hour etc. But where can I configure the headlights to dip either straight down or to the right? If this cannot be done do I have use “beam defectors”?

In my Yeti with Xeon headlights you can go into the settings and change the dip.

Found this on p73 of the online manual:

Driving abroad

When driving in countries with opposing traffic system (traffic on the left/right), your headlights may dazzle oncoming traffic. Therefore, the Full LEDFront headlight setting must be adapted by turning on travel mode in infotainment in the  /  →  → Light menu. In this mode, no automatic beam adjustment is made ahead of the vehicle.

Many thanks, Michael. I now realise that I was looking at a version of the manual dated 07.2017. I have now download the 11.2017

Snowing heavily up here today so I've brought the paper manual in to read. But I like the pdf as it can be zoomed up and is easier to read

And it is searchable...

I forgot that, yes

The LEDs on my Kodiaq flipped to RHS with a push of a button in settings.

Along with KPH for the digital speedo display.

And another button for Km for distance when I wanted it.

Simply Clever for sure.
