Potential new owner?

Featured Replies

Hello.

I currently have a Mk6 Golf Gti which i absolutely love. My girlfriend is pregnant - no big deal we can manage with a 3 door..... It's twins. Oh crap.

So i need a 4 door with a big boot without owning a dad car or anything that's gonna get less than 20mpg, so i'm looking to get a mk2 Vrs tsi, but i have a couple questions i cant seem to find answers to. would you lovely people have any insight?

1)  as im sure you are aware, the 2.0 tsi engine has a common fault with it's poorly designed intake manifold. i have had to replace this on my golf. Does anyone know if the redesigned one was fitted to the Octavia after a certain year, as it was just 09 and 10 year golfs affected? (pictured differences; https://i.ytimg.com/vi/5IVxPqriZkk/maxresdefault.jpg )

2) I cant seem to find a definitive list of standard equipment for the Vrs. Do they all come with touch screen audio, rear parking sensors, and xenons as standard?

Cheers in advance

Borrow a bit extra, buy an early 2014 MkIII, massive boot, no problems....that have come to light yet and remap it if wanted some extra zip. I went to a VW dealers yesterday to look at a Golf R and the boot is tiny.
