And coincidentally rolled over 10,000 miles on the way home from a few days away.

 

My first task after unloading a full boot of luggage was to hoover out the back seat as the most junior member of the clan was travelling with us this week. What a mess!

 

Hard to remember how we also used to fill the kids with snacks towards the end of a long journey.

 

(How on earth did we cram 3 little ones under 6 into a Mark 3 Escort and head to a French campsite with no roof rack, AC or GPS or anything else long ago?)

 

Anyway - Mr Skodiak has done well for 12 months.

 

I'm still loving it.  My good lady hasn't found the need to take a drive - yet.

 

Long term fuel reads 39+ mpg. Today it reached a high of 45+ mpg at A road speeds so I can live with that.

 

All 4 alloys are still unmarked and I've only spotted 2 minute stone chips on the front end.

I recently expended a lot of Elbow Grease removing all the little tar spots from both sides, so the Bear still scrubs up well.

 

Looking forward to 2 more happy years.
