This is my first thread. Fancied a discussion about the power put out by the Vrs diesel. 

 

I've had mine for 5 months or so now and I'm really pleased. Returns an easy 54MPG on motorway and seems far stronger than 170BHP.

 

I downloaded an acceleration app and timed it at 6.7 seconds which I was really surprised at. Anyone else had similar results? Skoda remapped it recently for the emissions for reference. It must be closer to 200BHP putting a time in like this?

 

Just interested in what you guys thought.

 

 

As you post in Mk II section I assume that you bought a used car. Maybe it was remapped by the previous user? It's said that it produces ~205 hp after a stage 1 remap.

I really don't know how Skoda's remap goes together with one before (if there was one) but maybe it's possible.
