Skoda Connect

Featured Replies

Is there any reason why, in theory, a purchaser could now be given their VIN number by the dealer so they could then use Skoda Connect to track their vehicle from Emden to UK etc.

As I've bought a stock vehicle I'm considering asking the dealer for this info so I can see when it is moved onto a ship and again when it reappears in Sheerness.

Thanks.

You're missing a step.

You register with the Connect website, and input your VIN. That generates a code which you then input into the Infotainment unit. So, without the vehicle, you can't do the complete registration process - it's a 2-step thing that prevents anyone who feels like it getting hold of a VIN and attempting to register it to any old Connect account.

Shame. Didn't know that but it does make sense!

After 1 year mine has died.

I refuse to pay big bucks to retain something that is / was simply a plaything.

Definately not Mission Critical.

Bye Bye Skoda Connect.
