Hi from Edinburgh

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I've owned my Skoda Felicia 1600 GLX for 7 years now. I'm just starting to have problems. I'll look around the site. Thanks for adding me.

Welcome!

Welcome, hope you get sorted.  There should be plenty of help available here.  What year is your Felicia?  Good to see the older models being maintained and kept on the road!

Thank you for the welcome. My Felicia is a 1998 model and so far has been a really good motor. Got through her MOT in January with no issues however I think this cold weather has affected her badly! :) I'm currently going through the Felicia forums to see if my issue has been highlighted before. I'm pretty sure you guys will be able to help me though as you all seem really knowledgeable.

Thank you again everyone for the welcome. I had good look through some previous threads and narrowed my problems down to a dodgy temp sensor. Changed the sensor today and she started first time! Thanks a lot guys.

A warm welcome from a fellow Newbie!  Glad it seems to be sorted.

Cheers mate. I changed the oil and filter yesterday and the flickering oil pressure light problem has disappeared! The pressure switch arrives tomorrow so I will change it anyway and then have a spare! All good she's running like a dream now! :)

I read somewhere on the forum that sometimes the filter gasket can get caught just inside where the filter fits and cause the pressure gauge to play up.  Not sure which model.

The oil wasn't particularly dirty and there was no debris on sump plug so I think that the filter must have broken down internally. All good now anyhow. :)
